Loose wheel bearings on four wheel drives can be just adjusted, but unless they are pulled apart and inspected with seals replaced, this is what you could be missing! A thorough inspection has prevented this car from possibly being stranded on the side of the road in a few hundred kms. The pictures below show the bearing rollers have begun to disintegrate, leaving metal fragments behind. All of the case hardening - which is meant to be a shiny silver -, has been worn off the outer race. If you think your wheel bearings haven't been inspected in a while, call us today, make a booking and keep your wheels turning!
